Pensive?

My get pushed challenge from Oriahna @oreos808 - I would like to challenge you to take a portrait of either yourself or of another person of your choice.

This is John he is the owner of the horses I ride. He is a fantastic host and is just wonderful with the horses.

Great black and white portrait. A little fill flash may have eliminated that harsh break between the shadow and light on his face- but I'm no expert so take that suggestion with a grain of salt!

Great portrait- like it in b&w!

Hi Sally, we have been paired up for the get pushed challenge for this upcoming week. I love your photography. If you are willing so am I!

@olivetreeann I did wonder about using the flash but I wasn't very close when I took this so I doubt it would have made much difference. We were also on horseback and there were two horses between John and myself. There's the slight possibly that they could react to the flash.

@jackies365 sure I'm up for it! I will pop over to your album and set you a challenge shortly.
January 11th, 2015
@salza I wouldn't do anything to scare the horses- so that's a good choice. A fill flash though is much less bright than a regular flash. Under the right conditions you could probably use it and not scare the horses. I'm not as familiar with horses, so your judgment would be far better than mine!

This is an awesome B&W. The differences are so precise
