Nostalgia

Playing around with textures - http://365project.org/discuss/general/24704/sandbox-365-digital-textures#comment-715366

I had some fun doing this, but I think I would change one or two minor things next time.

Very cool, especially on the black. I'm hoping I can find the time to try this today or tomorrow.

well done and looks very evocative. Does the text have a personal connection?

@brigette nothing at all! It's just a background that I downloaded off the internet.

Great idea with the textures. Hey, did you apply a texture to the flower first before the poem?
February 7th, 2015
@adambralston if I remember correctly the flower is the base layer, then the page which gives the dark corners and torn edges and then finally the text page but I may have played around with the layer order. One day I will learn to write down what I have done!

@salza Well, if you are using Lightroom, you can go through the processes on the bottom left of the screen. I think PS has that option too. The way I try to remember a new technique is to immediately repeat it on a different photo. And sometimes, I will even do the technique again on the same photo just to go through the motions.

@adambralston it was done in PS but I think I only saved the jpeg and not sure if that retains the history. I will have to check.
