For my get pushed challenge from Liz @lizhammond - as you seem to be focusing on Photoshop at the moment, the challenge is explore one of the following techniques:
Harris Shutter Effect
Orton Effect
Tilt Shift Effect
Brenizer Method
I have chosen to portray the Orton Effect
Due to the severe drought and extreme temperatures we have had over the summer my garden is looking rather sorry for itself.
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
@maggiemae I also get a different effect using Picasa. I did this in Photoshop, I like that you have more control over the final outcome. Maybe I should post the original for comparison.
@dibzgreasley Debs, we have had some rain this week but we still need a lot more before the dam will start filling up! I'm happy to see that some of my plants are looking happier and greener.
@gooner46 Chris, I know that all of these effects are doable in post processing. I think tilt shift can be done in camera but the Harris shutter and brenizer effect are only doable in post processing. Not sure about the Orton effect, I didn't check the camera effects.
Sorry your garden is suffering in the heat.
