For my get pushed challenge from Ashley @shesnapped - an alternative then: I noticed you used focus stacking to do a flower a while back and mentioned you wanted to try it again. How about another focus stacking shot?
Ashley kindly offered me an alternative challenge since we had bad weather forcast for the week and her original challenge was to capture birds in flight. I wasn't sure that I would be able to get birds due to the forcast rain.
This is a combination of nine different pictures, stacked together using photoshop. This is a golden barrel cactus, also known as golden ball cactus or mother-in-law's cushion.
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.

Nice capture of this "dangerous" plant! We have this kind of barrel cactus here too. And you don't want to fall into it as my son did when he was about three. Ouch!
