How beautiful! I tried capturing the moon last night but haven't seen the pictures yet. I have a feeling this is much better as there were still too many trees in the way when I went out to take my shot. Beautiful!

It was a beautiful full moon, but I didn't try to photograph it.

@olivetreeann @golftragic Ladies, this was the scene we had when we set out to walk the dogs hence had to take a quick pic. I commented to my walking mate that it was a pity that I didn't have my camera with me - whilst snapping away with my phone. He just laughed but for me, my phone pics are just snapshots as I have very little control over the phone camera. With my dslr I can control all sorts of settings, plus I can zoom in if I want.

@salza It's true the cell phones and point and shoots are simple but there's that saying, "the best camera is the one in your hands" and that applies to cell phone cameras too.

@olivetreeann absolutely Ann. I was thinking that had I had the dslr I could probably get better detail of the moon or zoomed in closer to get a different perspective. All that being said I am most happy with how this picture came out.
