Waiting on the Truck by salza

Waiting on the Truck

Farm labourers waiting on the back of the farm truck. The labourers get dropped off in town at around 8am and are collected again between 12 and 1pm.
It sounds like a hard life, but one that keeps food on the table. There are places like this in the US too. I remember seeing migrant works in the fields when I visited a friend in CA. once.

that little girl wasn't going to work, too, was she? she has that wonderment in her eyes looking at you and it captures a lot of stories that might be in her head. beautiful capture and i love the colours, too!

@summerfield No Vikki, they have been into town for shopping and are waiting on the truck to go back to the farm where they live!

Not sure if the girl knew I was taking her picture as I was on the opposite side of a three lane road and there is a large mountain the other side of the greenery behind the truck. I think she was just looking at this person over the road who had a large black box shoved up against her face!

Great street shot, Sallly - even if across a three lane road! :)
