Nice landscape photo. And great over all exposure in light of the harsh contrasty mid-afternoon light that's present. I like your layers, and the choice of using less of the sky since it is kind of featureless. And for me, those trees, which you probably see everyday, are fascinating. What are they?
@adambralston the trees are Blue gums. They are indeed very common. They are actually native to Australia. There was talk a few years back that we should be chopping them down but new research has shown that they are essential for bees to survive.
@adambralston Now that I'm looking closer at this pic, the Blue gums are the tall trees at the back. the front trees are beef wood (also known as iron wood) or pine trees. i shall have to take a closer look on the weekend when I'm next there!
