Through the Window by salza

Through the Window

My get pushed partner Penny @pennyp gave me the following challenge - I want you to do some more people shots - they don't need to be portraits but I'd like to see more people in your photos to give the shots a sense of scale.

I met a friend for coffee after work this afternoon. We sat inside as it was rather warm outside in the sun. Not that this couple seemed to mind though.

Love this! With the pretty flower in the foreground and pretty girl through the window, it looks so romantic.

Great response to the challenge, I really like the mood and this kind of a sneak peak through the window

Very interesting composition...subtle way of getting people pictures!

I like the composition, including both the rose and the couple outside. And great lighting for both. So she didn't mind sitting in the sun even though wearing long sleeves? Strange! Maybe just a "cold" person ;)

@kwiksilver Gillian, they were not speaking either English or Afrikaans so I assume they are visitors. They did have a modicum of shade from a nearby palm tree but we know better than to trust that shade!

@ericdibosco subtle's good. At least I'm getting some people captures! Maybe one day I can be bold like you and get some different candid shots. Or maybe I'll just stick to animals and landscapes.....

I like the casualness of this shot- and the lighting as well. It just has a very natural and easy feel to it. Good job!

this is a brilliant candid shot, sally. why? because it makes me feel like i'm actually sitting there inside the cafe and looking at this view. the details of the view outside and the lighting on the flower inside, it's just all seem natural.

I like this very much - there's just enough of the people and I like the flower in the corner.
