Food Frenzy by salza

Food Frenzy

This is about one third of the birds that arrive to eat the seeds that we put out for them!

Love how you caught them in flight - very beautiful to see.

We also feed them, and sometimes have way over 30. I love the little weaver amongst them.

Awesome shot!

@lynnilou Lyn, we often have about 60 sitting on the roof waiting for us to put the seeds out. When they come down they fill the paving between the swimming pool and the wall!

Lovely capture of the birds in flight. Have to admit that I don't like the pano type crop.

Good capture!

@kwiksilver I'm also not a fan of this type of crop but for this shot it was the only option as I needed to get rid of the swimming pool.

Wow!!

Hahaha....looks like our place. My husband always puts out so much food that I think our bird seed food bill is almost as much as ours! Great shot!

So many laughing doves! Do you have a large variety of other species as well? I can see some sort of weaver (I think) and perhaps a finch or sparrow in this pic.

@ericdibosco Eric, we get Bishops, Weavers, Whydas, Sparrows and Rock Pigeons all coming for the seeds. We also have Cape Robin and Cape Wagtails nesting in the garden. Regular visits by Malachite sun-birds and double collared sun-birds. The European Starlings also make use of the bird baths
