Which one is upside down!
Vikki @summerfield and I decided that since we both posted a picture of the moon on Wednesday (9 April) that we would both take another capture, share and post a collage showing the north and south versions together.

Vikki is in Canada and I'm in South Africa
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
@linc Cheri I have found using a tripod and either a remote shutter release or self timer very helpful. I also use manual mode choosing my own shutter speed and aperture
Sally, I was talking to Vikki @summerfield about this collage of the moon shots you guys took. Had to come see yours too. Nice collage! I like the style of your collage too! Very nice! And I never had thought about the way we all view the moon. My students are going to LOVE this little fact and photo! I will show them on Monday when I return from Spring Break.
@espyetta MaryBeth since I started doing 365 I was fascinated by the difference between northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere views. When Vikki @summerfield suggested a collage I had to accept! I'm now wondering if there are other things that we see differently. It will be interesting to hear what your students have to say about this little detail!
@espyetta@salza - it just reminded me, i posted this in one of the discussions last week when people were viewing someone's photo and it's upside down, but a few of us sees it in the correct orientation.
that discussion reminded me of an australian who asked me if i have ever noticed the direction of the water's swirl when we flush our toilets here in north america. when i told him i didn't know and never really noticed it, he said that ours here should swirl clockwise because in australia which is in the southern hemisphere, the swirl is counter-clockwise. i still haven't investigated that. i probably will when i am so inclined. :-D
and yes, MB, you would have to let us know what the students have to say about this little "phenomenom".
@kwiksilver I'm still here ... ish. ;)
Great comparison. I'll never forget how freaked out I was to see the moon 'upside down' in New Zealand - even though I knew it would be. :)
@salza@summerfield@elatedpixie I was supposing I wasn't the first to notice (as you, Vikki & Sally had), but I was so struck by it when I noticed, I thought others might enjoy noticing it as well!
@elatedpixie@Weezilou the comparison idea was sparked by us joking around that the moon was upside down when we were looking at it from the opposite hemisphere!
