Cape Wagtail by salza

Cape Wagtail

We have a pair of Cape Wagtails that have a nest in our garden. They love looking for bugs on the plants.

For my get pushed challenge from Marci @melston - Make an image that demonstrates the golden ratio.

sorry my asking, but what is a golden ratio? I googled it and it only shows something to do with maths.
I like this capture Sally, Mr Wagtail looks very happy and content

I first learned about using the Golden Mean when I was taking calligraphy classes many years ago, but laying it atop a photograph is a beautiful example. Before reading your caption, I did find the image very pleasing, and will keep it in mind (as in "pay better attention") in the future. I've been trying to teach Ken to see composition in photos, and have forwarded him the article.

Love the composition and obviously you've followed the rule. Will have to do some more reading on this. A classic example of the more you learn, the more you realise you have to learn. More hours in the day please !!
