@ceilidh these are "Weinbergpfirsiche"/pĂȘches de vigne.( Vineyard peaches) they are grown tradionally since the 18th century in the vineyards here. Because this tree grows rather small and can easily cope with the cnditions in the steep vineyards we have here

this is not a far-fetched thing, you know. in japan they have square watermelon, grown and moulded elsewhere. if one medium size regular shaped watermelon goes for $400, the square ones go for at least fifty percent or possible more. awesome efforts and results, i wish i had the same amount of patience and understanding of the technical stuff.
