Puff Adder by salza

Puff Adder

Tis baby puff adder was found where I go horse riding. It is thought that it was caught by a bird. It has susutained some serious damage and was dead when found. The baby puff adder is as venemous as the adult so extreme caution is needed when these guys are around!

@annied Annie Puffies are beautifully marked snakes, but their venom is deadly! According to Wikipedia - tr puff adder is responsible for causing the most snakebite fatalities in Africa owing to various factors, such as its wide distribution, frequent occurrence in highly populated regions, and aggressive disposition.

No snakes for me! Nicely captured- but I'm glad it was harmless since it was dead. Scary thought at how venomous they are.

Superb capture! I can't help thinking that I'm pleased he's dead! I am scarily petrified of puffadders although I have to appreciate their beauty.
