This is one of my most favorite places to visit. It is located about an hour from us in Bentonville, Arkansas. I was so excited, because we were planning to go again this weekend to see an exhibit of chalk sidewalk art. Sadly, a dear friend passed away suddenly on Thursday. We are traveling to Iowa this weekend for the services.
These photos are from last weekend, when we visited.
Crystal Bridges is a nonprofit organization focused solely on creating a world-class museum for the benefit of the public. The museum was founded by Alice Walton, who also serves as chair of the Crystal Bridges Board of Directors. Because of its commitment to the educational and cultural development of Northwest Arkansas, the Walton Family Foundation has provided significant funding to help make the dream of Crystal Bridges a reality. In July, 2011, Walmart announced a grant that will sponsor general public admission to the museum.
I love this place! About the only thing that can make me face the traffic of nw Arkansas. They continually have the most interesting sculptures on exhibit
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
So sorry to hear your sad news.
