Bank Bottom Mill, Marsden by sarahhorsfall

Bank Bottom Mill, Marsden

Another week with no photos, and so I'm 'back-filling' from these ones taken at the weekend.

I went to visit my friends who live in Marsden, just over the border into Yorkshire. They live just down the road from the Pennine Way - about 100 miles south of the bit of the Pennine Way I was on last weekend! lol

This is the view from their balcony looking one way ... the mill is Bank Bottom Mill. It closed as a mill less than 10 years ago - during the first world war, the mill had 1000 looms in operation producing blankets for the troops, and in recognition received a visit from King George V and Queen Mary.
an impressive view sarah...do all your friends have houses / apartments with lovely views....i recall you sharing a view from one of your mates rooms a few weeks ago :)
