I don't usually bother with a christmas tree - so had no idea how much a real tree costs. I stopped outside my local hardware shop to take a photo of their trees, and this reindeer, and was stunned to see the price tags. £60 for a 6 foot tree!!!! Even the smallest ones were £35 .. jingle tills, jingle tills, jingle all the way .. I was reminded of this song by the fabulous Tom Lehrer - written back in the 50s .. plus ca change, etc ..
