The White Lion, Withington

Photos I took last year, that didn't get chosen as photo of the day. SOOC

The first time I lived in Manchester, in the 1990s, The White Lion was a big, lively pub in Withington - I have good memories of nights out there with my mates.

When I moved back to Manchester, the pub had closed, and the building was standing unused. Then, the fences went up, the builders arrived and last year it reopened - as a Sainsbury's Local. Change isn't always progress :o(
