One of Carolyn's Christmas gifts was a set of learn to sew books and a box of sewing supplies. She's already made a doll skirt, but decided that she needed a pincushion next. The straight pins I bought inexplicably didn't come in a container, so they were just loose in her sewing box. Ouch!
