He was so, so tired, but those big eyes just welled up with tears and he refused to even lay down when I tried to get him down for his afternoon nap. It breaks a mama's heart to leave her crying boy, but I knew how badly he needed a nap, and it only took but a minute before he was asleep.
It was stormy and overcast when I put him down, so this is not the greatest picture - ISO 1600 is not pretty on my Rebel - but the camera was largely ignored today and this is the best I've got for the day!
oh i looooooooove this! I'm amazed you were able to capture this perfect moment, i can only imagine it was immediately followed by full blown crying or laughing or jumping, either way your timing was impeccable!
@kph129@dianachaplin@samzee@dmcoile@hinaansari@vera365 Thank you all so much - I was astonished to find so many kind comments on this photo today! As far as right after...there were some tears when I kissed him on the head and left his room, but not for very long. Usually he loves his sleep, but I think 18 months is a pretty standard sleep regression point? At least, I'm trusting it's just a phase! :)
