Not an uncommon sight at our house: Carolyn at the dinner table reading a book while her dinner gets cold. As you can see, she only had mere pages left, and it was apparently gripping enough that she just couldn't put it down! I just thought it was funny that she happened to be wearing her "I love books" shirt.
Love to see kids reading. I know the feeling. I was like this (still am) when I was her age.... always had a book in my face. I was late for dinner more than once...... because I HAD to finish the chapter, or book, or........

@vera365 It's a giant chalkboard I painted and hung behind the kitchen table - mostly used for drawing purposes, but it's a busy week so I wrote out the big important things so they wouldn't get missed!
