Drive thru garage by sarasdadandmom

Drive thru garage

This is so cool. This guy lives up a steep lane, so he built a garage at the bottom of his driveway with two openings. In the summer he drives straight through up to his house. When it snows and he can't get up the lane, he parks at the bottom inside the garage.
How clever!! Well, what is it that they say, "Necessity is the mother of invention?"

That is a great idea. All he needs yet is a little shed to park the snowmobile to take up to the house when the car cannot make it. LOL

Great idea and I love the steep angle of the roof too!

great idea - I like ricks idea of just having a little shed for the snowmobile or maybe the snowblower -- not the best idea if you should ever need to get a gravel truck or moving van up your driveway

Very good...clever people out there. Oh yes, our propane delivery truck would take the whole building down in one swell foop!

Brilliant. Does he have a studio apartment above the garage with a big screen TV, a wine fridge, a recliner chair and a Snuggie?...If so, he's not just brilliant ~ he's incredibly brilliant...that way he has eliminated the need to hike up the hill in the snow. :)

Great idea but if he cannot drive up to the house, he can hardly do so on foot.

Beautiful photo! I like the red garage and the little red tree next to it. Are those owls guarding the garage?
