I would like to share this photo with all my "new" friends on project 365. Enjoy your children while you can......I lost my son on 30 6 2008 in a car crash in Mauritius where he was working on a project. He was a helicopter mechanic and co-pilot. This photo was taken while he was still in the Air-force. It brings back many good memories.
I totally share the thoughts of Pamela, Leana, and Louise. The photo is a lovely way to acknowledge the anniversary of Jaco's death, and I'm glad it is filled with good memories. He was so young, in the prime of life, and I know you miss him every day.
And thank you, Sylvia, for taking the time to comment on so many of my own postings. That is very meaningful to me, and I hope they brought you joy.
Oh, Sylvia! My deepest sympathy on your loss - I know it's a few years by now but I also know the hurt never really goes away. My dad also passed away on the 30th June (1991), so it's a very poignant day for me as well.
You've created a fabulous photo to remember Jaco and his life. Sterkte, my friend!
Sylvia, I am so sorry to hear of this loss. It must have been, and probably still is, very painful for you, but I'm glad you have good memories. The memories of your son will never leave you, and you have made a beautiful picture of the objects here. The colours and textures are lovely.
words can not begin to express the pain of losing a child. all i can say is i share this pain with you; your photo is a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to your son. thank you so much for sharing this with us. thinking of you today and always.
Thanks.
