Callie How about taking a photo with high contrast this week? This was my challenge.
I did not have much time to take the photo. Just point and shoot. Security and security cameras made it difficult to take time to focus.
@maggiemae Thanks. This is the best I could do. With hubby on the one side you do have to watch him all the time. I therefore do not get the change to get out in public places very often. I also can't take the tripod etc when alone with him.
@maggiemae No unfortunately not. Two of my children live in the UK. The third works all day and I do not want to bother them. He is very dependent on me. Alzheimers is a very cruel illness. In day time he is ok. At night he wants to go home although he is at home. One day I decided I could not go further. I the joint 365 and this makes a huge difference. At least something to enjoy and the interaction with fellow 365 people means a great deal. I like to travel and the photos brings new places to my computer. I therefore I thank one and all!
You've captured a great atmosphere with this shot - I really do not like these places - creepy! I'm sorry to know about your husband's illness and think you are courageous how you deal with it and I agree that 365 is a great solace to many of us.
I admire you for being your husband's caretaker. Alzheimers is such a devastating disease, to see what it does to a loved one. You did a great job with this photo. I really like the composition and your POV.
Nice contrast. And let me say how greatly I admire you for joining up with 365 as a diversion and solace from your difficult situation with your husband's illness. Know you and yours are being held in the Light.
Those pillars definitely contrast brilliantly in the dimly-lit parking garage. Good job capturing the scene in a hurry.
Thanks for telling me that you too have an African Grey! I went and found Stoffel's picture; what a handsome bird. The parrot in the picture you commented on a couple of days ago is Kelly. She's 11 years old - I've had her since she was six months old. I also have another Grey - his name is Saber. He has only been featured in my 365 project once, back on August 13. He's not crazy about the camera staring at him. I look forward to you sharing more pictures of your beautiful Grey Stoffel.
@lyndemc Denise thanks for the info. Yes I will send a photo of Stoffel when he made a mess of newspapers etc. They are a handful but he Keeps me going.
Great shot and pov, Sylvia. I know from experience that caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's is a 24/7 commitment & is a life changer for everyone, isn't it? Stay strong and know that you have many people from around the world thinking of you & sending positive thoughts and support :) Keep your fabulous photos coming!
I really like this shot. It's rather dark and forbidding but so interesting. Sterkte with caring for your husband. You are a brave woman to cope with everything on your own. I've been missing for a while but hope to catch up slowly.
