Wendy ace - Here´s my challenge: go through your fav album and choose one of the pics you have selected as your favorite and think what it is that you like about the pic and then take an inspiration out of the pic and photograph in your own way your own kind of pic that can be similar or something completely different. Most importantly have fun! @annied Inspired me with her photo on 27/7/2016
Sylvia - I really do not think we ever get used to being alone - we are all meant to have someone to talk to, laugh with, and just be with. Empty homes can be very sad - but love always finds a way to come in and fill the void. Have you had the opportunity to join any groups or clubs in the last couple of years? Camera club, horticultural, church, or support groups?
They could give you invaluable human contact and friends you can talk to that you may not have had since your husband's illness.
Brillant quote and image. Not long now until my son goes back to uni for his third year...don't think I'll ever get used to living alone. Its so tiring making an effort all the time where no effort used to be needed.
Thank you Sylvia. That quote was just what I needed. My wife passed away six weeks ago after three and a half years fighting cancer. I will try to use the quote as an incentive each day to get up and DO something. Hope you get strength from all your friends on 365. My thoughts are with you.
HI Sylvia - dink so baie aan jou. Ek sien daar was klaar groot verandering in jou lewe - hoe gaan dit by jou? Wens ek kon vir jou 'n lekker koppie tee maak vandag en dit saam jou drink. Ons was bietjie in SA vir so 3 weke en ek het lanklaas iets aan die 365 projek gedoen -
Sorry Sylvua I have missed your posts just lately, must be the time of posting! Had to scroll down my list to find you but just wanted to say I hope things are going reasonably well & you are both getting used to your new life.
We are paired up this week for the get pushed challenge. How about trying to put 2 or more types of composition in a shoot. Like framing/rule of thirds or leading lines. I'll leave the subject choice up to you.
@quicksilver So sorry to hear the bad news about your wife. There is nothing one can say or do to make it better. Although my husband is in a care centre now, it also feel like death in the house. Empty and quiet....One can only pray for strength from above.
@farmreporter Wendy thanks for your thoughts. I worked till 2014 and then had to look after hubby. I used to attend a camera club. I am feeling better after the stay in hospital. I think I will sort out things now, After I had a car crash in 2014 I found it difficult to walk. They only found out what was wrong now and thanks to the good Lord no need for an operation, only medicine.
@moya Skuus ek antwoord nou eers. Ek was skielik hospitaal toe vir 'n week.
Very meaningful words and nice editing Sylvia. My house is very quiet too. My beautiful Roddy passed over a week ago and even though I have the other 2 dogs, I miss him so much. He was the life and soul of my house.
