Reflection of joy

Angie ace @angiedanielle24 Challenged me:
I know you are very busy right know but how about taking a photograph with the title "Reflection ".

This is not a "fav" photo but for me it is. Maybe you will understand, if I share my story....
The reflection is that of a building, being reflected in a building with glass panels, behind the church.
This photo was taken with a cellphone, through a dirty window, from the second floor of a court room. Now you will start wondering why?
In July 2014 I've been in a motor accident. A lady with a scooter drove at high speed into my car without even braking. I stopped at a stop street. When everything was clear I crossed the road. She came around a corner and the collision took place. Tragically she died 13 days after the accident. The news was very bad, because this was also the day after my son died 8 years ago in Mauritius. Nothing happened and in May 2016 I had to appear in court. With a husband with Alzheimer's at home this was very difficult. In the meantime he died on 5/11/2016 without knowing about the case. He would not be able to understand what was going on. I appeared for the tenth time on April the sixth. Every time it was postponed for a reason.... A professor at the university found that she drove at high speed. The case was withdrawn.

I thanked God and and knew he was in charge because I knew I was not guilty ....

Incredible image and story. I'm glad your ordeal is over.

@kwind Thanks for the good wishes.

I am so happy for you that your ordeal is over -- what a horrific time you must have had Truth has prevailed , and I can see why your image and title means so much to you !
April 9th, 2017
That is so hard for you to go through - apart from all else that had and was happening in your life! I think yo must be a very strong woman not to have crumbled in front of all this. Then we see that something went right for you. I think this is a sign that all will become happier for you The church is very relevant in this photo as is the sky!

I am so happy to read that truth has prevailed, Sylvia.

What a story! So sad the lady on the scooter died, but so happy that you did not have to pay the price of what was not your fault.
You truly have been made to suffer more than most but your obvious strength in God carries you through each trial.
This is A FAV for me as well - to remind me that God is there for us all and will carry us if we trust in Him.

I am glad for the decision in this case. You have captured joy in the midst of darkness quite well.
April 9th, 2017
Oh goodness me, what a long and drawn out case. So pleased for you that it is all over now.
April 9th, 2017
An amazing story and very emotional, too. Glad it ended in your favour, at least. Great shot and I like those clouds.
April 9th, 2017
You have survived a lot and am glad it is finally over for you or at least this chapter. Wonderful shot.
April 9th, 2017
The image is superb. The story wrenching but very glad that you are finally free of this trauma, as you've had more than a person should have to endure. Stay strong.
April 9th, 2017
As others have said - I am pleased your ordeal is over and that you can now look forward. Take care.

Lovely shot and love the texture in those clouds.
April 9th, 2017
Thank you for sharing all of that. Keep looking forward and being strong .

What a tragic story that you have lived through. I hope this signals a turning point for you. Very sad to read, but a relief to know you have been cleared of everything.

i love the old versus new and the fab sky

Wonderful picture for the actual reflection captured and for the mental reflection it caused you. Thankfully it all turnned out for the best in the end but what anguish you had to endure in the meantime
April 10th, 2017
I like the layers of buildings and the very cool clouds. So glad things worked out in the end. Your challenge this week is to try some ICM (intentional camera movement) ... it could be vertical, horizontal or even just giving the camera a tiny twist. Hope you can have a bit of fun with this, but if you'd prefer a different challenge, just let me know.
April 10th, 2017
Oh Sylvia, what a terrible ordeal you had to go through, so many tragic things happening all at one time. I am glad your ordeal is over and hopefully things will be brighter for you soon.
April 10th, 2017
@aecasey Thanks sounds great!
April 10th, 2017
You've come through some very difficult times, hope everything will get better soon, for you
April 10th, 2017
That is quite the ordeal . Yes thank God iy all worked out
April 11th, 2017
I read what you wrote and I understand your title, you were reflecting on what has happened and how God helped you through this . I am glad the court saw that you were innocent, but it is such a sad thing to happen. How are you doing? Do you know when you are coming over Sylvia?
April 11th, 2017
@stephanies Hi Stephanie. Glad the court part is over. I still do not know when I am going to the UK. I do have a had time now. Painters and electricians busy here for the last 5 weeks. I do have to sort out the house before I can think of plans. I will let you know as soon as I know. Enjoy your day.

What a tough time! Fabulous picture though!
April 12th, 2017
A meaningful picture to accompany a meaningful story. What challenging times you've been through. Your strength is an inspiration. Thank you for sharing. Surely brighter days are ahead for you.
April 13th, 2017
Oh Sylvia you have been through such rough times. What a relief that the truth won out in the end. It always should, of course.

So we are paired up for get-pushed-247, and I was wondering if the following would suit...taking a shot using a frame within a frame? let me know if not and I will come up with an alternative.
April 17th, 2017
I am glad that ordeal is over - as Maggiemae said hopefully it is the start of trouble free times
April 18th, 2017
@lizhammond Will do so. SOrry for being late. Will send your challenge now.
April 18th, 2017
@sdutoit HI! What an amazing story. We have been partnered for the get pushed challenge this week. I challenge you to B&W, i.e. a shot that looks better in B&W than in colour! Let me know if it works for you, and I look forwarrd to hearing your challenge for me.
April 23rd, 2017
@saskiah Thanks Saskia. Must search for my Caon camera battery charger, They have been painting here for last few weeks. Missed quite a fe challenges. Love to do the challenge.

@sdutoit Sylvia, you seem to have had such a lot of sadness in your life. We are partnered for the get pushed challenge this week. I have looked through your images and if you feel up to it, could you do a shot where the main focus of the image is shadows?
April 30th, 2017
@suesouthwood I would like to try, I could not find my camera battery charger. At last no excuse FOUND IT! I missed quite a fe challenges due to the battery problem. At least the this painters finished painting and everything should get to normal now. Love London and might still visit this year. My son and daughter live there.

Hey thank you so much for all of your comments!
I didn't see many photos of you since you haven't really posted much fora the past 2 months so i will give you the same challenge!Try shooting something unusual or pretty much anything native to your country,i think it would be very interesting.Have fun!
May 8th, 2017
Thanks. Will give it a try. I am living outside town and not much here to see. At the moment I do not travel much but I will see what I can do! I will try and take more photos as from today!

Sometimes it is so difficult to walk through dire circumstances not knowing how they will turn out. Those are the times when our faith is forged like steel. While we never know what He is going to do, we can be certain God will do something and it looks like He has done a wonderful thing for you by clearing your name. From here on out you can be a little less worried- something to be thankful about as I see you are! I like this shot- and like the reflected building and the glass building you're seeing it on, you can put this behind you thanks to the Lord. Good shot!
