Arrived at River Camp to find the surrounding countryside recently ravaged by a serious fire which turned many kilometers of land into something resembling a lunar landscape. A year ago when we were last here, this was dense green undergrowth, so thick I didnt' dream of venturing into here.
so sorry about the fire! That must be terrible to see so much damage to some place that was once so green and living. But I have to admit that my first thought was how beautiful this photo was!
@beckyk365 Thank you Becky-Jo. I am sure it will soon rejuvenate when we get some rain. But I am sure not much of the frogs, snakes, antelope, or other small wildlife could survive an extensive fire such as this one.
