Flamingoes in the wetlands

All I have for today :( It had been high tide about 6:30 this morning, and by the time I had a lazy lie in this morning and took the dogs out walking about 8am (instead of my usual 7am) the tide was already receding, but it was still high enough to have covered the wetlands, so the flamingoes were out grazing again.
even so, balanced by the wonder of sweets and all that is wrapped in and ants on blue with pink surround, more than passing symetry and hint of bird's potential.

that's hardly a lazy lie in! I like that you've done this in half, not the classic thirds - nice light on that short bank and plenty of recession

a very calming picture, perfect for a lazy lie-in

Lovely scene - and hardly a lie in!

Beautiful colours and composition. Always wanted to see real pink flamingos.

@365projectltaylor Thank you so much for that - all tied up with photos from before. What a fascinating commentary you have made

@anniesue Thanks Annie-Sue. I took some photos with the classic thirds horizon, but this one somehow felt more balanced to me, so the others have already been deleted. I wonder if those big clouds are balanced by the wetlands vegetation....

@bf2016 @eevaliisa @narayani . Thank you. Well yes, it is actually a lie in when it is summer time. Even at this time it is actually already a bit hot to walk the dogs, and definitely too hot and bright to want to stay in bed any longer when the sun was up 2 hours before.
