... I decided to try and set up the same shot again, but this time without Elvis. Somehow I don't think my composition of the lemons, or lighting efforts are quite as good as last night - but then as my lighting consists of waving a cellphone torch around I'll never manage to get the identical results twice in a row
@anniesue Thanks for that input Annie-Sue. I may continue to try this idea to improve on the lighting and maybe adjust the composition a little for a camera club submission next month. I also like Elvis although he doesn't match the subject. Hubby doesn't like this - with or without Elvis, but I guess creativity is a personal expression and you can't "win em all".
@bf2016 Thanks Barbara. The one with Elvis is technically better - as Annie-Sue pointed out I have a dark patch under (and on) the bowl this time around so clearly I didn't move my cellphone around evenly enough, but I do like the little extra something in the composition as well. It balances it somehow.
