Back home again and woke up with a splitting headache and sore throat. Feeling really grotty so no real photos. But when my friend from Cape Town phoned to say his holiday home here in Port Owen had been broken into, and please could I go with the keys and take photos, I couldn't say no. The would-be burglars managed to do this much damage to the safety gate they wrenched out of the wall, before using a crowbar to break the door frame of the kitchen door. I think strength like this perhaps comes from drugs like Tik? Thank goodness for the armed response alarm. They didn't get away with anything except a microwave and some wine
