Another groany one I'm afraid, but it's all I have for today. Been a busy day bathing dogs and setting up spreadsheets. This occurred to me while I was watering the garden this evening before going out for dinner so I had to grab Lucy and my camera for a quick shot next to the lettuce which is doing rather well in my Dad's garden. (although that looks like weeds amongst the lettuce - and most people consider Khakibos to be weeds, I make sure there is always some as insect control).
@homeschoolmom Thank you Lisa @anniesue Thanks Annie-Sue. Yes some people just pull up everything that isn't a flower or vegetable they planted. But fortunately I had some Khakibos seeds saved, and when my Dad was having a problem in the garden with insects destroying his veg, I offered them to him as he first told me about using Khakibos many years ago. He grabbed the seeds with glee, and now we keep the plants going randomly throughout the veg patch, and let them go to seed. I just have to keep thinning them out, but I'm sure they are good in the compost too.
I thought it looked familiar....it's also called African marigold? I googled it too. I would be curious to see if it looks like our marigolds. I have often planted them with my vegetables too.
