I actually took this early on Saturday morning after watering my veggie garden, but it is kind of appropriate for today as I watered my garden for the last time. Today we got a notice that with immediate effect potable water can no longer be used in the garden, or to wash cars, paving, etc. due to the severe drought. Some of our dams are almost empty. I will be carrying my used dish water out to try and keep some special plants alive but the rest will be relying on some mist and hopefully some rain
@angiedanielle24@narayani@777margo Thank you all. Yes it is scary when I see photos of the dams that are supposed to supply water to Cape Town - there is very little water left in some of them. Even the mud has turned to dust because it has been so dry. Every drop of rain is gratefully received at the moment, although up here on the west coast 150km away from Cape Town, we get a lot less rain than Cape Town does.
