Had a call from the hospital this morning to fetch my mother as she was discharged. So I had to pull off the road for a few minutes on the way there to take a quick shot of the same canola fields with the wild flowers blooming in front. The wild flowers are only open while the sun shines, and also only when the temperature is warm enough, so by late afternoon when I am normally coming home along that road after visiting hour, the wild flowers are all closed.
@365anne Thank you, Anne. Both for the comment about the layers colour, and my mother! @beckyk365 Thanks Becky. No I haven't brought her back home. She has gone back to the frail care. She seems to be quite happy there. She said to me she likes the people, and it is close enough that I visit her often, but yet she has people around all the time. When she was at home, she lived in her own little cottage just behind our house, and I guess it got a bit lonely at times after my Dad died even though I would pop over frequently during the day when I wasn't out working at the flat, or out somewhere for the day.
@beckyk365 Yes, you are absolutely right. That is what I was thinking as I followed the ambulance the other evening. Can you imagine my guilt feelings if I had arrived home or gone over to the cottage to check on her just too late!
Lovely shot and glad your mum is out of hospital and that she is happy at the care home. My mum and her friends dreaded going into one but I think they can be very good for the company and care they offer
