@narayani Thanks Narayani. A lot of diverse responsibilities cluttering up my thoughts and time right now ... everything from trying to fit in work around non paying things like dealing with structural problems at the apartment block where our holiday apartment is, and I am chairman, to giving Tug extra time and attention as he has such allergy problems I have to give him pills every day, and bath him with antibacterial shampoo every 2nd day, and seeing to the legal necessities for my parents small estates, and trying to fit in my paid work as well!
@s4sayer Thank you very much Margo. Yes I know you lost your brother recently and my heart goes out to you. I am still struggling to deal with the loss of my mother and it is 5 months already now. As you say, we'll get better, but just not yet.

What is little Tug allergic to? Since I changed Tootsie’s diet, and took her off beef, she’s had no problems. (She has raw lamb/kangaroo and raw veggies/NO grains)
@narayani Not sure exactly what Tug is allergic to. For years the vets have insisted it is fleas - but my dogs seldom have fleas as I do try and be proactive about preventing fleas. Now my latest vet acknowledges it must be his food, and has suggested that the chicken is the likely culprit as chicken these days is high in hormones. I have taken him off rice as well, and now he is getting veg and venison or ostrich (very expensive compared to chicken). I tried a raw diet once before for him, but the prepared raw tripe became more than I could stomach. Maybe I need to investigate mincing my own raw veg and venison for him? He eats his paws until they are a bleeding mess, and scratches his ears until they bleed, if don't keep it under control. And at the moment he has a skin infection all over his hot little body, so he's been on antibiotics and antibiotic shampoo-ing every 2nd day. A lot of work for me, but it is making a difference to the quality of his life. He's become a normal happy little doggie again.
