We went to watch and support the annual dinghy race between Velddrif Yacht Club up river, and Port Owen Yacht Club down river. Being there, watching the dinghies on the river really gave me a pang of longing for the "good old days" when I used to sail regattas with my Dad. Made me feel like getting into a dinghy and sailing again. Maybe if I find a 2nd hand dinghy going cheap enough I might even do that now I have a yen for it again!
That must be wonderful to watch. My hubby and I used to spend every holiday sailing in many parts of the world. It is such a wonderful hobby. You should really give it a go again ;-)
@anniesue Thanks yes it does feel like the time is right! I will start keeping a lookout for a suitable 2nd hand boat going cheap enough ...if something appears in front of me, then I know it is meant to be
