Even the poorest of poor subsistence fishermen are wearing masks. A sad sign of the times .... but I'm impressed at their willingness to abide by new regulations
@narayani@ludwigsdiana@777margo Thank you @pusspup No you are absolutely right - the harbour was almost deserted other than these two folk trying to catch a few fish, and the people working on a fishing trawler a good 50m away and all out in the open. However, I think these folk probably have little education and don't understand how the mask is going to protect anybody, so they are just following the latest guidelines blindly.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you. Yes he is wearing it wrong as it is below his nose. I don't think they actually have any idea what it is supposed to do - or if they do, people are not enjoying breathing through a mask, but they are trying to follow the government regulations anyway. The number of people I am seeing with masks round their necks is frightening. Do they have them there in case law enforcement officers see them they can pull it up and say it just slipped down, or is it like a sign of defiance to the regulations, or do they not care? I don't know the answers but when I see that so often it makes me realise why our government is seen to be so heavy handed
