I was so disappointed in myself and my photos from the day of Tara's wedding (and so crazy busy with all kinds of other stuff ) that it has taken until now to overcome that feeling of overwhelm because I don't know how to eliminate the flash shadows and actually knuckle down to processing the photos anyway!
Ah she looks so beautiful.
What a shame about the shadows. Could you clone them out using Retouch? A bit long winded but worth a go.
It's a lovely shot of her happy day.
@pattyblue I have never heard of Retouch. Been thinking I need to learn Gimp to see if I am able to clone them out that way for just a few of the better photos
She looks beautiful indeed. And I love the overall matching tones in this one. Your white balance ist stunning. You are doing these photos so well. I do not think the shadow is a huge problem. People will not see it, if they are not into photography. Maybe, just maybe, you could lighten up her eyes (that match so perfectly with the necklace) a tiny lil' bit.
@narayani Thanks Narayani. The first thing I saw when I downloaded was shadows and I nearly "died" cos I should have known better that flash might do that seeing as there was no white ceiling to bounce the light! And so many photos ruined with shadows that I lost heart in processing them at all. Just felt overwhelmed :(
@mona65 Thank you so much for the lovely comment and the suggestion to lighten her eyes. For someone like me who is learning still it is great to have those little details pointed out as to what might improve the image. I guess you are right and most other people wouldn't notice the shadows as much as photographers do.
@seacreature Hi Desi,... you are very welcome. We all learn from each other here. And I really love a lot of your pictures and am sorry, that I do not have the time to comment on all of them. I allowed myself to download this picture and played for less then 3 minutes, and got some improvement. I would love to help, and if you would care for some tipps.
