And a way for the fishermen to warm up their hands. A close up of yesterdays shot but I haven't been able to upload it until now. 365 kept uploading but wouldn't allow me to save it.
@narayani Nope, I didn't get there. Bunch of work came in. It has been a crazy month for me, and for the first time ever the dogs haven't been out for a walk at least once every day. There have been times in the past when I have had computer based work coming in as well as guests in the flat, but that was before covid when I had a hubby to help out with some basics and a maid once a week to clean the house or to clean the apartment for me while I stayed behind my computer screen. Since lockdown I haven't had a maid at all. I paid her in advance for lockdown period - and I never heard from her again. I haven't tried to find another maid to help me because quite frankly I just didn't have any money coming in to pay for help so this past month has been as much as I have been able to cope with physically - with many nights working until after midnight to catch up on work I didn't do in the daytime while I cleaned my apartment. This long weekend will bring a much needed rest for me.
@777margo Thanks Margo. I had to put everything I could into this month. It was an annual project on the PC so once over, then it is quiet times again. Also, it just so happens March / April are the best months of the year here, and after lockdown the local tourism was keeping me busy again. As we go into winter the tourism industry on which I depend so much will also die down (but hopefully not be totally killed like it was during our prolonged lockdowns and travel bans and curfews)
@narayani I am actually quite glad she didn't come back because it saved me from paying for her services when I didn't need her as I had no work, and when I couldn't afford her as I was drawing from savings as there was no income for many months, so I hold no hard feelings towards her at all. I hope she found a better paying job, or perhaps a job with one person for more days in the week instead of just one day with me, and one day with someone else etc.
