Now the sun is setting in the balcony windows at the end of a very full, and busy day. The apartment was filthy. Thank goodness I turned down a last minute enquiry in the middle of the month for fear I wouldn't be able to get it ready. I wouldn't have. Took a whole day of cleaning with a helper. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and then I will attempt to dress the bedrooms a little better and take new photos but my interior design skills are non existent and trying to work this out on my own is a lonely experience. But then the whole renovation without Don has been a lonely experience and somehow I am muddling through the mistakes along the way
A lovely view after an exhausting day. Do you rent on Airbnb? A friend of mine found that was the best one to use because you can review the tenants as well as them reviewing you. She found the Airbnb tenants looked after the place really well because they didn’t want to get a bad review.
@narayani I haven't signed up with Airbnb yet - been a little bit afraid of all the terms and conditions and stories of landlords losing lots of money... But I think I must bite the bullet and do so. I really need to start getting the bookings!
@seacreature I’m not sure how landlords can lose money? It’s all paid to you through them. I had my spare room on it while Sean was living in the UK - it worked really well.
@narayani I'm not sure what the problem was - maybe the landlord was not being very sensible in some way?? I sure need to give it a try. I know the young folk like my daughter only ever look on airbnb. The other portals seem to be used by the older generation
@seacreature gorgeous view, perfect for tourists. When we went to Ireland we used Airbnb. It worked out well for many reasons. Their cancellation policies were much more reasonable than renting through a real estate company. Not that you want people canceling on you, you have to protect yourself.
