I have not yet seen an open flower of this little hibiscus - it was left behind in a pot by my tenant and every time it got a bud it had dropped off by about this stage and the leaves were yellowing. So I planted it out in well prepared hole in my lawn. The plant seems to be thriving. Lots of lovely new green leaf growth and loads of buds everywhere - but I discovered bud drop again with a bud lying on the earth below unopened. So I have carefully examined the plant carefully and discovered there is an infestation of some microscopic bugs - a few different kinds. Some white and fuzzy looking. Some black, some translucent greenish. So I have sprayed with Baythroid and hopefully now I might get to see some open flowers
