This seal was playing with a cormorant he had caught, tossing it in the air and bashing it around in the water. The shots that show the splash don't show the seal so this one is a hugely cropped compromise

So is what looks like a stick in its mouth, part of a cormorant?

They seem to be like cats and love playing with their victims, lovely shot.

@narayani yes that "stick" is actually the flesh of what I think was a cormorant (unless cormorants don't have pink/red meaty flesh like an mammal?). It was being thrashed around in the water, and thrown up in the air

@ludwigsdiana Thank you. They do seem to like to play with their victims. I found it really upsetting once before when it was clearly a small land animal such as a large cat or small dog with distinctive shape of a head and 4 legs...
