Now that the flowers on the Indian Hawthorne are well into their season with some old flowers and some dead flowers even, the shrub does have a pleasant perfume which seems to have attracted a few bees. Sadly, the bees are not as prolific as in previous years, but I do know they are struggling due to insecticide use and also there has been some wanton destruction of hives
