I took Maddy to Mugg & Bean this morning to play in the playground have a milkshake. She and I were kicking a ball to each other and a little boy who looked to be about 5 or 6 years old arrived with his family. He watched us for a minute or two then intercepted the ball and ran back to his parents with it. Maddy started crying and I expected the parents to tell him to return it, but they just laughed. So I promised Maddy I would take her to buy her her own ball and some bubbles. Sadly, somebody is teaching their son to be a bully to kids smaller than himself by not correcting his behaviour.
@ludwigsdiana Little ones get over things like this really quickly I think as she wasn't physically hurt. And the promise of a new ball was enough to make her happy. The bubbles were a bonus.
Oh this is very aweful. I would have gone to the parents and asked politely to be given the ball back. If this didn't work I would have grabbed the ball and took it by force. Nice to see Maddy forgetting the event and having fun again.
Iām so glad Maddy got over it quickly.
