Another shot from Monday evening when I arrived back home after 2 days of driving.
Saturday my last day in Johannesburg. Took the family out for breakfast at Mugg & Bean where Maddy could play on the slides and jungle gym, but for some reason didn't take any photos then. Just seemed more important to just "be in the moment" instead of trying to capture it through my lens.
Beautiful flower. It must be quite a wrench to leave. Or are you happy to be back in your own space? How were the dogs after all that time away from you?
@narayani It was a wrench to leave. I have loved spending time with my daughter, son-in-law, and Maddy and the bonds have grown ever stronger in that time. But it is also good to be back in my own space again. The dogs came with me because I planned to be there for 6 weeks to be there for Maddy's 2nd birthday and also be there to babysit while they went out to an adult wedding and to babysit school holidays. With the horrendous cost of fuel these days, flights back and forth have become expensive and driving is very expensive so I made a decision to drive with the dogs and just stay there to fit it all in in one trip. So we had a houseful of 4 dogs - their two large dogs and my smaller ones. My dogs are very happy to have their own territory again.
