Walked the dogs in the evening after getting back from Cape Town, instead of our usual morning walk. It was low tide and the wind was howling so it was really quite unpleasant outdoors (although the doglets didn't seem to mind). This is the dried out marks left in the wet sand by the receding tide some hours earlier.
