Late afternoon walk by seacreature

Late afternoon walk

Loadshedding right now is from 4pm - 8pm so the dogs and I had an early dinner at 4pm just went power went off, and then went out for a walk. Unfortunately I couldn't stay late to watch the colours develop because I didn't want to risk walking home in the dark (no street lights even in loadshedding), and getting into a completely dark empty house.
Beautiful photo

Such trials you have to face with this load shedding. It must be tough having to watch the time so you don’t get caught out.
A lovely peaceful scene you’ve captured here.

Nice composition. Do you ever think of moving?

@jeremyccc Thank you very much
@pattyblue Thank you. It can be frustrating with the loadshedding, but I am always conscious that I am one of the lucky ones. I am not losing a business because of it, and I am not struggling to get children bathed, fed, homework done etc.

@narayani Thank you. Yes I have considered moving but I am financially trapped in South Africa - too old to be able to go somewhere like Australia to start afresh, and with the shocking exchange rate we have my investments wouldn't be sufficient to live on anywhere else. I've also thought of moving closer to my daughter and son in law to spend more time with my granddaughter - but yet if they emigrate while they are still young enough to start over I will be in a city where I don't have any of my friends

@ludwigsdiana @ziggy77 Thank you so much

@seacreature are they likely to emigrate? That would be sad.

@narayani They may emigrate. It takes about 2 years to go through all the processes to get into Australia though. But it is certainly something that could happen someday. It would be very sad for me, but given what is happening in Africa there is no way I would ever try and discourage them from emigrating.

@seacreature 😕
Would Australia be their first choice? They could get somewhere with a granny flat for you!

@narayani yes Australia would be first choice. I am not going to stress or worry about the future though. At the moment I will simply support them and encourage them in whatever decisions they make.
