I decided to do a basic online course in pattern drafting. The first pattern I drew wasn't very successful as the test blouse I sewed up from it using an old sheet for fabric didn't hang very well on me. Hopefully my next attempt will be better
@koalagardens you are right - a few mistakes have been the best teacher! @narayani I hope it will stand me in good stead - perhaps not to create my own clothing patterns from scratch but to understand more about how to adjust patterns to get a better clothing fit for this body that is now a granny bod and not the teenage bod it once was. @anniesue Yes I sure am on a learning curve. Seems quite a steep one at this point. But I have now made a tee shirt that fits me and looks pretty good too! @ludwigsdiana Starting to get the hang of it. Feeling inspired at the moment so as soon as I have some time at home again I can't wait to actually sew something!
