After a liquid lunch with my friend Trent who has just flown in from the USA, I felt I needed some inspiration. So I popped to the florist in the village and as soon as I saw this I knew I had today's photo.
Rather frustated though that this looks so vibrant on my screen as an original image, and much flatter on 365.
@myautofocuslife ....and I agree with you Livia, they have a brain look about them. There was grey purply looking one in the shop, that was even more so :))
It looks vibrant on MY screen!!! Looks like a carnivorous plant to me maybe its your clever angle.............lunch sounds good!! oops sorry, great shot!!!
@fannyb@primitiveprobe@janewillis Thank you all :)) It definitely has lost some of its vibrance. Watch my second album tomorrow for a different take on the shot.....
Surreal and beautiful. I agree with the others who said it looks like some kind of sea creature! Whatever may have happened to it during the upload, it's still an incredibly vibrant photo and it looks great to me. :)
Hey Sean - had a little deja vu moment as I took almost the exact same shot last year. They are amazing flowers to shoot - almost unreal really - reminds me of a luxurious material. Nice job on PP!
@thebluegnu Thanks. Well, I did an online photography course last October and one of the shots the tutor showed us was of the self same plant. I have been looking for one ever since! The course tauight me that abstracts of plants can sometimes work really well, and this plant is up there. I think that they actually photograph better as abstract than as the plant itself.
Images can look different on different screens. I notice that when I am on my work laptop, vs. my laptop, compared to my IPAD, and my desk top. But it looks GREAT on here...not flat at all and so vibrant. Love the textures and twirls! Fav!
@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth, I've got twin screens so it is head scratching to see it so vibrant in CS5 on one screen and so flat on the other screen on 365. I can't complain though, it made the PP! Thank you for such wonderful feedback and the Fav :)
great shot Sean - it stil looks vibrant but I know what you mean, I often have to over process my images just to make them look how I saw them on photoshop - very annoying
Thanks for that link to the website on street shots etc - absolutely awesome.
