French Cockerel

The owners of the house we stayed in also lived on site. Their eldest son Alfie, who is about 12 years old ( I forgot to ask!) keeps chickens.

Every day he would feed, water and clean them out, and was rewarded with eggs.

The Big French Cockerel was imporessive, noisy, and had "beautiful plumage".

I was able to improve my French by having one way conversations with him whilst cooking on the BBQ in the evenings.
