We were joined today by some very good friends of ours, Jan, Tracie, Tom and Lucy.
We walked from Blakeney to Cley and back, enjoying a couple of pints of the local brew, and were rewarded with some wonderful views of Cley Windmill. It would have been better if the sun had shone on this shot, but at least the fog had gone!!
In the evening we joined our friends for dinner in a lovely old pub and enjoyed more of the local brew until closing time!
Cley WIndmill is available to rent and also has a restaurant serving local Norfolk recipe food. Rebecca, Ben and I had a very enjoyable meal of local mushrooms, game suet pudding and fruit crumble there on tuesday evening. Ben was his usual erudite self and was engaging for the whole evening. It made us very proud to have such a talkative, informative and questioning young man as our son.
Beautiful shot - love the compostion, the windmill set off by the lovely old flint cottages with their red tiled roofs. Couldn't be anywhere else but Norfolk!
