A mug of tea in my favourite mug often makes the world a better place. I am rather partial to a steaming hot mug of Assam tea, and rarely drink coffee unless it is diluted with lots of hot foaming milk!!
When you get to my age, you never walk past a toilet or a biscuit tin if you don't know how far it is to the next one!
This is a great shot, Sean - love the steam. My girlfriend is from Ireland, and I always make her a steaming hot cup of tea in the morning. As for me, I am a coffee man.
@fueast just a little one liner I use every now and again. In the summer months I swap biscuit tin for BBQ. Ben still laughs but I fear that is waning!
Lovely shot. i like your mug, the steam and how professional it all looks against the black. I like my tea in a tall snowman mug a student gave me about 6 years ago!!
A smoke shot in disguise! I saw a good tutorial from Photkonnexion yesterday...... am going to give that a try some time! I like this, love your comment about toilets and biscuits hehe!
Blimey what about your very slightly older friends?!! Agree with Jackie......its all a ruse to show us how clever you are at smoke/steam shots!!! ha ha
@fannyb@jackie8 It is just a little one liner I use, but one daty it will be true!! I'm quite pleased with this one because I had t merge the best parts of 2 shots. When I exposed the mug right the steam disappeared, and when I exposed the steam right the mug was over exposed, so a little bit of moving, pasting, blending and lowering opacity was required :))
@nadaa Haha, funny, I would never dream of drinking soup from a mug, I think it needs a spoon :) So, this is defintely a tea mug, despite the design. It has lasted me so long, I think it must be 8-10 years old now!!
This is so true for me too! I am just sitting here with my hot tea and sweet ! Love this shot so relaxing! :) Now im off to check out your leading lines shot! ...Been missing you...i am a bit behind on my comments but i never forget what a great year we have had together ! Yet i missed your 365th !! I must go see that one to! Love following you , you are such a great photog!
At YOUR age Sean!! This a wonderfully 'simple' shot - the mug and biccies against a nice black background but that steam is a masterpiece!! By the way how CAN you drink tea out of a mug that clearly announces soup?? haha!
@tishpics I know Pat, I know, comic effect let down by the disbelief that so many of my followers have that a 47 year old needs frequent toilet stops lol. There is so much that is wrong about this shot, yet I ask myself, how can anyone drink soup from a mug?
@tishpics haha, but they wouldn't have showed up against a black background :) Don't worry, there are always McVities Choc Digestives in my house. I like to think that if the 3 minute warning went off I would put the kettle on and have a couple of Choccy Digestives and put on my favourite Clash song.
Cool shot, I could not drink tea out of a mug with soup on it though, I can't even drink coffee out of the Milo mug we have in our house. Love the steam in this, would like to see this shot Warhol style!
@cathy366 hmmm, there is an idea. I am surprised at the number of comments about it being a soup mug :)) My wife has a Very hungry caterpillar mug, now that would be horrible!!!
Excellent! shot Sean. Love the steam! Too true about the toilet and it only gets worse!! Regarding favourite mugs and coffee, i am much the same only I prefer coffee but if it's tea it's Assam!
haha... I already never pass a biscuit tin without pausing!!! ;)
